Small, useful data.
Traction Garden measures aggregate acquisition paths and stores only what is needed to run the field notes.
Campaign measurement
When a page loads, we record the page path, campaign labels present in the URL, the referring hostname, the event name, and a timestamp. To count distinct external visits, the production edge transforms the connecting IP address with a secret-keyed, one-way HMAC before storage. The raw IP address is never stored, and the resulting hash is used only for aggregate uniqueness and repeat-visit counts.
Field-note signup
If you join the field notes, we store the email address you submit plus its campaign source. Subscriber addresses are never shown on the public scorecard.
Public scorecard
The scorecard publishes aggregate counts by strategy, experiment, source, and campaign so this organic growth experiment can be evaluated openly. Known bots, command-line verification traffic, and explicitly internal tests are excluded from the unique-visitor goal. A distinct IP hash is not a perfect proxy for a distinct person because networks may be shared and addresses may change.
Your choice
You can use the free campaign-link builder without submitting an email. A removal and unsubscribe contact will be added before the first field-note email is sent.
